Surround sound keeps cutting out...

I have a panasonic dvd home theater surround sound system SA-HT530. It keeps cutting out if its turned up too high, which wouldn't be so bad if it was really loud, but its not. Is there an easy way to fix it other than having it turned down really low? Its driving me mad. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks in advance

  1. check the wires are the correct way round on the sub woofer. can cause a short when the bass kicks in.

  2. You could have a number of issues. I recommend that you start by unplugging everything and turning up the volume. If it shuts off get it serviced as the issue is in the amp. Next if no issue individually add the speakers and turn the volume up and perhaps find a blown speaker. If no issue then hook up your sources one at a time and turn it up.

You may fix a shorted wire by redoing all your connections

If this seems to be a issue that only shows up after a while of use get it serviced you may be taxing it.

Add to that clean around the unit and make sure there is no dust in the unit as this can cause that same issue. Also make sure it is able to dissipate heat properly.
