Surround sound on the PS3??

Question

I have just hooked up my PS3 via optical cable to my 7.1ch Yamaha home theater. The blu-rays and DVDS seem to be working fine, its only in the the games that i seem to notice some sounds missing.eg. in MGS4 i cant hear my own gun firing nor can i hear the key tones when i enter the options screen.Also in 'burnout paradise' and 'dirt' i cant here my own car engine. Any suggestions ???

Tehere can b 2 prob either ur TV could not support it or either there is a prob in ur PS3

Set your PS3 to PCM audio. Go ahead, try it and for god's sake, don't use Yamaha's crazy auto-setup program!
