I have a 7.1 system and was just looking at using banana clips to terminate my speaker wire. I need to run from my receiver to a speaker wall plate. I am amazed at the cost of banana clips. I would really like to use them just to keep it neat but does anybody know where I can get some decent ones at a reasonable price? I am seeing around $20 for 4. to hook up 8 speakers with clips on both ends I would need 32. Thats $160 ON BANANA CLIPS. Any suggestions?

  1. Try Radio Shack. You can get plain non-gold plated ones for about $2.50 a piece in packs of 2. They do have the gold plated ones if you want to spend the cash but they are not necessary for speakers. Speakers are high level outputs and there is no advantage in having gold plated connectors.

  2. By the sounds of it your in America, I'm in the UK and there's this store called Maplin electronics which sells a pack of 2 gold plated banana clips for £2 which is about $4, i don't know if they have branched out thier stores to the USA but you can have a look. But i know you can definatly get them cheaper.
