Normally expert's advice is to place the surround speaker on side wall rather than placing it in rears. My problem is i don't have a provision to mount the speaker on sides. Now should i choose Dipole or bipole. Pls help me! Lot of thx in advance.

  1. Give it a try, not much difference.

  2. Dipole and Bipole are the same...

Although they do recommend that the rear speakers be placed facing your ears, in your situation, you can still get the benefit of placing it behind to the right and left sides of the listening area.....you just hear it better if it's actually placed pointed at your ears....

I generally find the center of the listening area,  and point all speakers towards that centerpoint..

  3. Since you are going to place your speaker behind, you should use Bipolar speaker.
