According to dictionary.com, a beer is "an alcoholic beverage made by brewing and fermentation from cereals, usually malted barley, and flavored with hops and the like for a slightly bitter taste."

From what I understand, Budweiser is an alcoholic beverage made by fermenting malted barley and rice, with at least some amount of hops.

So I believe it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Budweiser is in fact a 'real' beer, by definition. Not a 'good' beer, but a 'real' beer.

Hey, I'm not a fan of lagers in general, but Budweiser is as American as baseball, and is to St. Louis what the auto industry used to be to Detroit. Them being bought out just flat out sucks, not only for the historical aspect, but for the economy as well.

Before I read that Anheuser-Busch had sold out I would have defended Budweiser mercilessly. But now I just don't care anymore :(

Well, well, well - how about a little brewing lesson -

In the Brewing Industry there are two basic types of beer:

1)  Naturally aged

2) Synthetic

Naturally aged beer takes 21 days to brew because it requires time for the fermentation process to occur naturally.

Synthetic beer takes only 7 days to brew because the brewing process is speed up using carbon dioxide to speed up the aging process.

All of the Anheiser Bush beers are naturally aged...no exception.

Miller beer is brewed using the 7 day process - in the industry this is a synthetic beer.

BUD has always been the best beer around bar none..that is why so many company's want to buy it...real people..real men..drink BUD ....the others are watered down...well.... the story goes....some time ago I sent in a sample of COORS and some other beer's to the University of Colorado to test it and the results came back that my horse had diabetes..
