just letting them know is sometimes enough no matter how hard it may be,i have never said goodbye so dont really know it would be difficult for all depending how close etc,so just saying it..

I guess if it we're a guy I was saying good bye to I'd give him some sun block and a string bikini... tell him to call you when he wants you to come visit and see you in it!

I am in this situation at the moment and whilst I don't know what words to actually say, I have got them lots of little presents of photographs to remind them of us. I think getting drunk will probably help though!
