Right now in my life, my heart is for my family and friends. There is no one that holds my heart in an intimate romantic sense. That's not to say that I don't want to be in a relationship because I really do want to. I swear, the next opportunity I get to be in a relationship, I am chucking my family & friends.......just kidding.  Honestly though, I think that I will reserve a huge piece of my heart for that relationship.

The last piece of my heart is reserved for me. Not to seem selfish but, it's a though I need to hang onto it for self-preservation.

For me, this is a defense mechanism. Hey, who knows, maybe someday, I'll be able to give this portion of my heart to someone who is TRULY worth it !

My two beautiful daughters and my pets own my heart ! But, there is a part of me that is on the disabled list ( if you can relate to what I feel) .

I'd like to think that someone could hold the "last" piece of my heart, but that would be really naive to think that anyone could. Because the thing is, I've thought one too many times that someone actually held any piece of my heart. But then it just gets broken and after months of mending it back together with a needle and thread (very fine thread) there's always room for another person to weasel themselves in making it appear like another piece of my heart is being given away. But it's never the last, unless one day it is.
