What if the XXIX th Olympics were held outside China?

Would the picture be totally different?

There is a complaint that subjective decisions in as many as 18 events were in favor of China and that is why China stands first in the tally of gold medals.

What is your take on it?

  1. would china still have gold medals if it was held outside china : YES!

are Americans sore losers : YES!

  2. isnt it funny how the CHINESE and the AMERICANS suddenly started competing in 2008 BEJING GAMES?

  3. I have watched many of the Olympics this year and there was some unfairness. China does have the best divers but the last and best diver they had last night, did not have a clean dive and yet scored high. There has been some injustice in the women's gymnastics too.  I don't see what the judges do, so I can't be certain, but I am unhappy about having an Olympics in a Communist country. In the opening ceremonies, it made me sick to find out that a prettier little girl lip synced , while the real little singer wasn't pretty enough for China. Shame on them. Chinese women aren't allowed to visit home as their parents want them to stay and train all the time. They said it was their job. How sad.

  4. No .. not any difference.

  5. Cost money to travel, You can put more people in as host country. Of course, you win more medals as host country.

  6. They probably wouldn't win quite as much, but still the most of any country.  They've been catching up to the U.S. in the gold medal count for the last three Olympics, and narrowed the lead down to 3 in Athens.  It was just a matter of time before they surpassed them, and no better time than Beijing 2008.

Although there was no worse time for Liu Xiang's injury to have showed its ugly face.

  7. yes i do....and the opening  was the best in the world...and venue for the games outstanding..no expense spared,.and the athletes should show the greatest of gratitude to there wonderful hosts...and there athletes for a job well done.......thank you China so very much...and thank you Chinese athletes...you have made your country proud...i love you all.........seamanab x

  8. if it were held outside of china, i don't think they would of wone near as many gold medals.

  9. Did this affect Michael Phelps? No it didn't.  It's all reduced to China having an excellent group of athletes and that's it.

  10. Yeah china would still win that many gold medals, like Every olympics they getter, in athens they came in second, this year they are better, and in london they will be even better. And they would win even more because the athletes wouldn't have as much pressure. Not with the millions of eyes watching them and expecting them to win gold. Just wait for london.

  11. i dunno. as the host country you're allowed to enter more athletes in the events and get automatic top seeds. but the pressure of your country watching you can be too hard to take sometimes. i guess that works the other way too. the fans can drive athletes to perform their best. i guess it think that it wouldnt really affect the outcome. the chinese has a phenomenal group of athletes.

  12. Heck NO! Here's why they are winning so many now:

    1. They are the host country

    2. They use underage athletes

    3. The judges are biased, & give the best score to the Chinese

    4. The Chinese are obviously willing to do anything to avoid embarrassment as the host country, & have proved that many times (ex-lip sync, underage athletes, hiding the real city behind pretty murals)

((Even worse, is they are getting away with it, b/c the IOC won't bother!!!))

    5. The have no ethics

    6. They train their athletes hard everyday, while they away from families.

    7. They cheat, lie, hide facts, and simply aren't winning fairly

*Don't worry, next Olymics they will rank much lower again, like they always have.

  13. Yes even more because there's no so much pressure for example Liu Xiang and several badminton championship they lost to Indonesia.

  14. to any great athlete it souldnt matter where u r but being in their home land might make them try harder

most chinese start training at the age of 3

  15. The user above (Jessica B) who posted here and everywhere else used same lines trying to insult and damage China as much as possible in every questions about Olympics.

it's China's first Olympics to rank first on gold. This human trash can't accept it and start posting hate speech toward China everywhere. What a hypocrite.
