  1. Don't let people change that beautiful mind. People forget that no matter what the circumstances the baby should NEVER be punished. If a girl is raped, that is awful.... but you have to remember that the baby did not do anything wrong either! If the mother could die in labor its an awful thing but... why should the baby die instead? Abortion is wrong in ANY circumstance, don't ever let someone try and change your mind. I can't help but feel that people who abort children are looking out only for themselves.

  2. Personally I think its a bad idea, but if the woman is raped/incest/might die from complications it should be ok.

I also think we should be treating the real problem instead of just a symptom of the problem.

Better s*x education, better distribution of birth control, be in condoms or pills (sorry christians) Better crime prevention. Better medical care.

  3. Aborting an Innocent Baby,no matter what stage or cause is MURDER! Liberals don't buy into this but that's what makes them Liberals! To bad we can't legally abort them after they are grown! What would be the difference? Tell me if you can!

  4. Will there goes a theory right out the window!!! So no to abortion cause it's the person fault for getting pregnant. So what if the woman was raped. That would be her fault too?? Or is murder in that situation permissible??

If a woman doesn't want an abortion then i suggest she doesn't get one!!

Further more even with abortions being an option and hospital drop offs no questions asked, we still see new borns thrown into dumpsters, down trash cans, into toliets imagine if abortion didn't exist. I don't know about anyone else but I don't want to see or have my own children witness, a newborn in a river or dumpest etc.

Then there is almight tax dollar with will go to support a kid of a mother who can't afford to feed it for the next 18 years.

  5. i do not like abortion especially when it is used as a form of birth control.

  6. I agree, the taking of an innocent human life is murder.  People need to practice self-control and not get pregnant.  s*x outside of marriage is a "no-no" for many reasons.

  7. I think of it this way:  When a human egg is fertilized by a human sperm,  it evolves into a human being.  It is not going to be anything else, even if you call it an embryo or a fetus or a bunch of cells.  It is going to be a human child.  Even if one does not believe in Intelligent Design, one must admit that the evolving child has an "inalienable right" to live, even though it is not welcome.  Fortunately, there are many, many people who will happily take a newborn, love and nourish it and allow it to live out it's life, whatever that may be.  Nine months, in the "mother's" life, is nothing, compared to the child's potential life to the average American age of about 78 years!  ......So, I guess this kind of thinking eliminates the guilt that many people feel, after making a point-of-no-return decision to abort (kill) the evolving child.....Still, I realize that I can't set standards for anyone else, so this remains my own personal opinion.

ADD:  I purposely didn't mention "rape" because it doesn't change the potential child's situation, and there are plenty of people who would adopt the child. However, I do consider the mother's health also, and if it is a great risk for her to carry the baby to term, abortion might be necessary to save the mother if the doctor so decides.

  8. I disagree.

First, let me begin by saying I don't believe anyone is "for" abortion. I do believe we should all be for allowing women to make their own choices in their personal lives with little or no government interference. Life isn't always black and white as some would like to see it. There are always shades of gray. For instance, what if a woman is the victim of rape or incest, should she be made to carry a nine month reminder of that traumatic event? What if the pregnancy threatens the life of the mother or the baby itself? If we as a society don't approve of abortion then we need to do more to limit how many take place per year. But that doesn't mean making it illegal or having the government interfere in people's personal lives. What it does mean is we make adoption a more readily available option. We make condoms, and other contraceptives available in areas with the highest concentration of abortions. Perhaps giving them out in free health clinics or even in schools, but only if the teens parent signs a consent form and only after the teen meets with a health professional to discuss the risks of protected and unprotected s*x. Then we actually educate our teens with actual comprehensive Sexual Education. Not just the "abstinence only" curriculum advocated by the Bush Administration and various religious organizations. Those teens that take abstinence pledges are just as likely to contract a Sexually Transmitted Disease and more likely to allow for anal or oral s*x. Condom distribution doesn't mean we as a society are advocating s*x. What it does mean is that we as a society want the youth of today to be careful if they are going to have s*x anyway, to have respect for themselves, respect for their partner and for the potential life they could create.

Personally, I don't understand how Republicans can claim to be pro-life and then be pro-war, pro-death penalty, and anti- social programs. Life doesn't end at birth. I feel as though Republicans, despite their objections to it, have done little to decrease the actual number of abortions per year besides trying to make it illegal. We need to attack the factors that lead to abortion like poverty and lack of positive role models in our communities, instead of taking away a woman's right to choose. Taking away the safe, legal option of abortion will set the US back decades to when women had abortions performed in unsanitary back alleys, by anyone willing, knowledgeable and unscrupulous enough to take their money. And it's in those same back alleys where we'll find both mother and unborn child dead and having deserved so much better, simply because some could not see the gray in their black and white world.

  9. Well, life isn't as cut and dried as that....if they make a mistake...blah, blah, blah. c**p happens. Sometimes a fetus develops serious issues, sometimes the mother to be develops serious health issues. Sometimes a woman is brutally raped or her father or brother knocked her up. See where this is going? We don't live in a perfect world. Until we do, then that decision should be up to us, the women it affects the most. Another point....many women have used birth control, only to have it fail. What then? Don't say practice abstinence...that isn't feasable for a married woman and her husband who were using protection that failed.

So, when all the bad scenarios disappear, then the need for the right to choose will, too. Don't hold your breath.

  10. Agreed

The baby has the right the live.If the parents don't want the baby then they put it up for adoption.

A doctor sticking an iron and dismantling an innocent fetus is unacceptable in so many ways.

  11. If abortion is carried out, the baby doesn't have to live under harsh conditions where the mother is unprepared and can not provide a loving, stable family for the child.

If abortion is not carried out, a live is saved and added to our already unstable population.

    HOWEVER

it depends on how humane humans really are and if they're willing to do the malicious act of abortion.

So in a way, abortion has it's pros and has it's cons, but it should be a choice.

  12. I support a woman's right to choose what happens to her own body.  Once a baby is born, then it is entitled to full rights.

  13. You are 100% right. Just use good sense and don't get pregnant.

  14. abortion is pretty much murder...

how ever if the mother wants to kill the baby, maybe the baby is better off being killed than living inside a mother who doesn't want it or after it being born have the mother not treat it right.

there is adoption... but not 100% of baby's put in adoption get adopted or get a happy life.

  15. Would it be asking too much to save oneself for marriage ?  That seems like a novel solution.  It used to be the way, you know.  Abortion is murder.
