Survey: does the truth seem... "truer" when someone respectable speaks it?

Do you agree? Does knowing that this is a quote from the Marquis de Sade make the statement more or less true to you?

If people have their own concept about what the thing is, probably it may not happen like that.

The assimilation and receptivity of given word and wisdom is increased if dispensed and administered by an individual who is seen to have understanding, sensitivity and a love for the targeted recipients.

It’s not wholly what is said but also in what manner and by whom. Trust and integrity are major and essential foundational precepts to this cause.
