Survey for guitarists...?

Question

How many of you guitarists know how to read music?

I know a lot of guitarists just use tablature.

I've been playing guitar for almost five years, and i'm just now learning to read music.

I know how to read both music and tab...Tab is a great tool that every guitar player should utilitze BUT you must also learn how to read music and chords if you really want to progress.

Tab is just much easier and faster, and also much more widely used.  I like it when guitar sheet music has BOTH tab and the music...that helps a lot.

I first learned to read music, before the tablature, so I can read complicated sheet music. But the problem is, it's hard to find free sheet music on the internet...

I have been playing for 4 years, soon 5, acoustic guitar.

I can't read tabs, lmao! But I can read music, I'm not that good because I'm still a beginner, but I get by.

i can't read music sheets i only know how to read tabs i had music lessons but i just can't remember the notes so i find tablature easier and i just listen to the music for beats and tempo =)

I've learned to read sheet music over and over about 20 times now , then forget it after a few days.

I mostly play with tabs in the rare occassion I want to learn a cover.

Since I play so many of my own songs now I don't write anything down, I just remember it.

I play mostly by ear, but look up tabs online when I want to figure something out.

I've known how to read music since i was about five or six. I didnt pick up a guitar til i was 13. it makes everything easier. you can pick up any music and play it on the guitar.

Yeah, i studied Music theory in all through 7th grade and majored in it in College with a minor in Computer Science.  Which is what im doing instead of being a studio musician... d**n

I can not read sheet music. I taught myself to play, but I would love to know how to read it.
