Sauvignon Blanc

I don't like most of the Californian Sauvignon Blancs, though...I have not tried all of them, so there may be some rather good ones, but I much prefer Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa or New Zealand, and I prefer the ones with the flavour of melon (varietal flavour) or sweet wood (processing flavour) added, though nonvarietal is very good, also.

What I like about Sauvignon Blanc:

With naturally high acidity, Sauvignon Blanc is always tangy, tart, nervy, racy, or zesty, and this character pervades even sweet and dessert versions, keeping them from being cloying and sticky-tasting.

Dry-style Sauvignon Blancs are very versatile, and can accompany many foods that would clash or overpower many Chardonnays and almost all other dry whites, In fact, Sauvignon Blanc is quite probably the best wine to accompany the greatest variety of foods.

How can you pick just one favorite?  

Depending on the season or the occasion or what food you are eating...

My person good-faithful would be pinot noirs though.  I am partial to French and Oregon selections....

I haven't tried many wines but out of the ones I have,it has to be white Zinfandel. I cannot stand a dry wine..it has to be a sweet one for me.
