There are quite a few that I can't say here, without this question being reported or flamed into oblivion. So... I'll have to go with "toy." ;-)

  1. we don't really do 'pillow talk' so aside from dear sweetheart honeybun cutiepie etc. I think the oddest for me is calling him "my otaku"... it's japanese and translates to pretty much.. video game/comic book geek.. sorry I don't have much better =P

  2. My girlfriend calls me "mirdallah'' which is apparently an Eastern European endearment meaning my darling.

  3. I call my hubby dearest "Nun" a lot... which started off 9 years ago as Honey Bear, and evolved a lot into that. He answers to it, and doesn't complain.

Then again, he calls me "Da B." No, that's not for b**ch, it's another one of those evolutionary things.

  4. "My darling little kumquat."

But only in a jokey, looking-for-a-laugh sort of way.

My partner is Dutch. I don't speak Dutch, but I'm pretty certain she has occasionally called me something which translates literally as "Little t**d". That's the Dutch sense of humour for you.

    Or so she says.
