  1. It is classified as a pernicious weed. It is illegal to allow it to grow on your property. The roots will damage the house foundations and drains. Make it a condition of sale that this weed is treated by a licenced company.

  2. I don't think so, it just spreads so quickly, cos it can grow by replanting itself.

If you remove it - be very careful!

  3. j*p Knot is a notifiable weed.  contact your local council about erradication of it.  They have a duty to clear it, but it will take some time, maybe years.

It can cause damage to drains, walls, come up through concrete paths and tarmac.  It's a real THUG.

If you are using a surveyor on a property you are thinking about purchasing, then be VERY AWARE that it can be very difficult to live with...so consider carefully.  However, if you are already in your property, then your council WILL have to do something about it. Its what you pay council tax for.

  4. It spreads like mad - there is only one retail chemical licenced to control it and that is....

RoundUp Tree Stump & Root killer!
