The Gialloblu sporting director has stressed that the club has worked hard in all aspects of their preparations for the new season, and has criticised the method of distributing TV rights.
Pietro Leonardi has voiced his confidence in Parma ahead of the start of the new season, and has stressed that with their new coach and squad the club has the potential to do well.
The Crociati were on the verge of relegation in their last campaign when they were saved by their new coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Donadoni, who led them to an eighth place finish in the league.
The Gialloblu will be missing the services of their leading goalscorer http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sebastian-Giovinco-c32724 in the upcoming season, pertaining to his move back to Juventus,  but their sporting director is confident that they have the elements in place for a successful campaign.
Leonardi stated that Parma has worked hard to get the team into the best possible shape before the start of the new season, and insisted that the plan is to stay true to their ideas in preparations for the upcoming campaign.
The Gialloblu managing director was adamant that he has assembled a strong squad for manager Donadoni, but maintained that he is never satisfied with his efforts.
While talking to the press, the Italian businessman said:
“We have worked hard. We are confident that we have made the most of our ideas so far and we begin with the knowledge that we have done a lot. We are missing just a few tweaks to the squad. We have a great Coach and we are ready, it’s just that Parma is
never satisfied in the face of dreams.”
Leonardi went on to state the first mission of Parma will be to secure their position away from the relegation zone, and insisted that after that they can reach out for a better place in the league.
The Crociati chief also voiced his disapproval of the method of distribution of TV revenue, and insisted that the unfairness has barred them from doing better in Serie A.
“The first goal is survival. Then if that comes soon, we can try for other targets. As long as the TV revenue is distributed by merit not by history and fan-base, then we can afford to have other ambitions.” He added.
