  1. I've never worried about lightening in the forest.   Don't climb any tall trees and you'll probably be safe.   If you want to avoid walking near the tall ones, that might be even better.   If the hail is golfball size, stand behind a large tree if the wind is blowing from one direction.   If its just coming straight down, find a tree thats leaning over.

  2. Don't be the tallest item in your area, and stear clear of the tallest tree in the area.  The tallest items normally attract "lightning"

  3. well it is kindof obvious first get to shelter as fast as you can if you can find a dry sot go there then ounce you have all the shelter i would tell you the way to set it up but i don't have time k ounce you have that then you make fire which you should know how to do that before you go out in the woods alone like bring a lighter or matches, then stay where you are uneil you know where you are and how to get home if you don't know how to get home then stay there someone will realize that you are missing and tell the search and rescue or someone will drive by and you should get them

  4. It kind of depends on the forest.

If its a secondary forest, you are less likely to get hit by lightning, but you are more likely to get hit by trees / burning trees that have been hit by lightning.

Just find an open area if you can, and avoid tall trees, since they are more likely to be hit.

  5. Hide under a log.

Just make sure there's nothing else hiding under there first.
