Obviously, running isn't such a great idea if a tiger was stalking you. That will only set off her natural instict of preditor vs. prey, and since they can run about 35-40 mph when hunting, that leaves you with little to no chance of escaping.

I'd think the safest bet would be to play the dead card and hope to God that she passes by. If all else fails and things take a turn for the worse, then you really have little choice but to defend yourself. If you had no weapons, I'd gauge the eyes and try to rip out the throat. Though you'll probably be dead long before you can cause too much damage...

Tigers always attack from the rear so I guess running would be out. Since they eat dead things I guess playing dead won't work either. I suppose you face them yell at them and hopefully they'll decide you are too much trouble to bother with and go away.

Depending what mood the tiger would be in, if calm, i would stand still in my tracks,and see which way it would roam too. who knows, it may be a friendly tiger...and let it sniff my hand,to let it know all is well, in safety.
