Susanne Hock and Igor Chizik claims 50m breast-stroke titles - 13th European Masters Championships
Susanne Hock of Germany and Igor Chizik
of Bulgaria claimed the titles of Women’s and Men’s 50m breast-stroke respectively, on the subsequent day of the 13th European Masters Championships, taking place in Yalta, Ukraine.
Hock emerged as the fastest swimmer of the Women’s 50m event, as she clocked a wonderful time of 34.08 seconds for the gold medal. She was followed by Anastasiia Beskhlebnaia of Russia, who remained 2.47 seconds behind her and owned the silver medal with
a timing of 36.55 seconds. She was followed by Magdalena Bolewska of Poland, who was 0.45 seconds slower than the silver medallist and climbed the podium for bronze medal by clocking a time of 37.00 seconds.
Meanwhile, Henriette Stensgaard Frederiksen of Denmark transpired as the fourth fastest swimmer of the event, as she posted a time of 37.11 seconds. Saskia Bossy of Switzerland was the fifth fastest finisher of the event, as she ended her swim after touching
the finishing wall in a time of 39.58 seconds for fifth position.
In the meantime, Chizik acquired the title of the Men’s equivalent event by submitting a time of 29.56 seconds. He managed a lead of 0.78 seconds over his subsequent swimmer, Sergey Khilko of Ukraine, who posted a time of 30.34 seconds for the second position.
Khilko was trailed by Andrey Vagner of Russia, who claimed the third position of the event by reporting in a time of 30.58 seconds.
Then, Dennis Hermanski of Germany completed his swim in the fourth fastest place, as he remained nearly two seconds slower than the bronze medallist and posted a time of 32.35 seconds. He was in a lead of 0.17 seconds over his next swimmer and team-member,
Gaspar Galambos, who completed his swim in a time of 32.52 seconds.
The arena appreciated the commendable swims of all athletes, while the winners were awarded podium finishes for their extra ordinary swims after the session. In addition, the championship will continue for three more days to complete all swimming events
in Men’s and Women’s category.
