Suse 10.0 application in Suse 10.1

I am running Suse 10.1I would like to use an application designed for 10.0. It won't install, but is there any way to force it, and is it worth it, is 10.0 so different to 10.1?The app is a mobile phone sync programme (Benq-Siemens XMPM for EL71)Thanks in advanceJamie
