Sushi? Any sushi chain restraunts that have great food?

Something that kids would like too, and not overly gross, but still authentic?

It depends where you're at.  Generally the best sushi is at the local "Japanese Steak house" or local sushi place (on the east coast).  If you're in Savhanna GA, Charelston SC, Virginia Beach VA, or Groton/New London CT, I can tell you a few, but away from the coasts, get online and try to find a review or two.  As far as Authentic... Disney World Epcot is the most authentic I've seen next to Japan.

Sushi is actually referring to the rice and not the raw fish.   California rolls are sushi even though there is no raw fish.  I expect that most kids would like them or some other similar roll.

Todai has a great sushi section but is also a buffet with salad bar hot and cold foods and a fabulous dessert bar.
