  1. as above but use seaweed, prawns and very fresh raw fish.

  2. it takes years to train as a sushi chef. you can't just expect to learn how to do it on yahoo answers. get books, look at websites and show some initiative.

  3. Just cook some rice then put it in fridge til its cold then put some tuna/vegetables in the centre of it. Dont forget the soya sauce.

  4. I love eel sushi. You must try it sometime. It's sweet, savory, and almost like grownup candy - it's that good. read my blog to find a recipe and more!

  5. You  HAVE TO HAVE a bamboo roller, rice cooker and some nori (seaweed) . There are bottled sushi flavorings that are decent these days.

      I

After you have steamed the rice, toss it and let it sit for awhile.    Then sprinkle gently with the sushi seasoning and toss again.  Lay the seaweed out on the bamboo roller.  Lay  rice evenly and whatever you want on there, and roll tight.    Unroll, wrap in wax paper, and let sit.    Then slice the next morning.

  6. OK...there are several steps here.  First, go to the library, read some books, study the photos.  Once you see the amount of work that actually goes into sushi and sashimi you'll have to decide just how far you want to go with it.  Second, you'll need to go to a japanese market for the proper supplies and tools.  Be prepared to spend some bucks!  A good sashimi knife can easily cost upwards of $500 (of course you can find more economical ones).  Talk to the clerk at the store.  You'll need a good rice cooker, the right kind of rice, Mirin, soy, nori, rice molds, dishware...it's really a commitment of the soul as much as the stomach.  Once you get fired up and ready to roll...I suggest Ebi (shrimp), and my all time fave-Tamagoyaki (dessert sushi)

  7. You can go to http://www.sushitrainer.com. They have videos that show you step by step instructions.

The item that they use to roll the sushi is called a Makisu (roller). If you live in the US and do not have access to a local Japanese or Asian store, you can purchase one on-line at http://www.japansuper.com. Look under the Kitchen category.
