  1. get one with shrimp tempura in it and topped with crab meat!!!!  yum!!

if you do try a raw fish roll, get a spicy tuna.  it doesn't have that fishy taste.  enjoy your dinner

  2. raw fish + crab + everything in a california roll

wrap it in seaweed grab some chopsticks and say

    MUSHI MUSHI!

  3. Wow, this place is in Alaska and you're not going to eat at LEAST raw salmon? I would imagine that the salmon at this place would be awesome, but I guess some people just don't do the raw thing.

If you want something that's got crab in it, you'd have to go with the Spider Roll, but it's nothing all special, it's a lot like a tempura roll. The Dragon Roll and Caterpillar Roll are both rolls with eel and the unagi glaze that Japanese places use on their eels. Out of these two, I would go with the Caterpillar Roll, because of the avocado and cucumber to cut through the taste of the glaze. If you've had the Caifornia Roll many times, and it was the Super California Roll, you might want to stay away from both of these, because the dominant taste is always the glaze, they'll probably taste oddly similar.

I'm not sure if the salmon is raw, but the Kathleen Roll looks very interesting. It's got a good combination of ingredients to give good contrasts in tastes and textures. The Cajun Salmon Roll looks to be pretty good; I've never had a cajun spice on my sushi, and I'd be most curious to try this one.

If you ever get the courage to try something with raw fish, start with a spicy tuna roll, because those are just fantastic, and after you're used to the fact that you've eaten raw fish, maybe you can upgrade to just the natural taste of raw salmon. These are truly the essence of Japanese sushi; all natural flavors unadulterated by sauces and such. Have a great time, nonetheless, and of course, if you're sitting at the sushi bar, don't forget to get your sushi chef some beer or sake!

  4. Spider Roll is most popular with people who do not like raw fish.  It is usually made with soft shell crab that is fried crispy and rolled with cucumber and mayo.  The caterpillar roll is also delicious.  It has a sweet asian bbq taste to it.  It is baked eel glazed with sweet soy and also added is cucumber and avocado.  Give it a shot.

  5. Here are some suggestions in their orders:

    Maki (roll) Sushi:

    1 Kathleen roll

2 Crunch roll - shrimp tempura (minus tobiko)

3 Lobster roll (minus the tobiko)

    4 Caterpillar roll

5 Rock n Roll roll (minus the tobiko)

6 Cajun roll - tuna or yellowtail or SALMON - I would suggest -(the tuna, yellowtail, and salmon are cooked) but request without the tobiko (fish eggs).

Tobiko are fisheggs - they are not raw but cooked in salt - they are not that fishy and it gives sushi that salty taste - if you are not into it, just asked them without it.  The Unagi (freshwater eels) are grilled with teriyaki sauce and not fishy at all it is in some of the rolls like Dragon roll.

Depends where you are, you can also request for soybean wrapper instead of seaweed wrappers.

    Nigiri Sushi:

Ebi - cooked shrimp with rice

    Tamagao - egg with rice

Unagi - cooked eel with rice

    I'm so envious now. Yumm!!

By the way mushi-mushi is used when answering a phone - "Hello!"

  6. maybe try dragon roll --------->if thers something called tat but i think it is dragon roll!!!

  7. Yum yum or crunchy crab!!!

  8. Looking at the restaurants menu, I'd say the Lobster roll looks good. The Kathleen roll, too, as long as the salmon is cooked.

Try a Shrimp tempura roll. It's deep-fried and battered shrimp, rolled maki-style, and served with sweet sauce.

If you're feeling particularly daring, try one of the eel rolls or a smoked salmon roll. Eel and smoked salmon are both cooked, even though the texture feels raw.

  9. Wow! They have spider rolls and they're not even in Maryland! I'd go for that-- number six under special rolls. A nice tempura fried soft shell crab! Always one of my favorites!
