  1. I've been to a number of sushi places in Austin, and Tomo on Parmer Lane is the best atmosphere and sushi!  Awesome atmosphere!  Great sushi!

I've also been to Mikado, and they were pretty good.  Nice atmosphere.  There are near 183/Burnet in North Austin.  Not the hip environment that Tomo has.

You really should check out www.austinsushisociety.com.  Great resource for sushi!

I've also been to Sake' Sushi in the Gateway shopping center and they were good.

When you look up Tomo, you'll see they are in a small retail center.  Don't let that fool.  These guys are good, and the atmostphere is totally hip.  They had a place in Las Vegas that a friend of mine here in Austin knew about and she loves her some good sushi.

UCHI is a place everyone talks about and Tyson Cole has even been on Iron Chef America.  Uchi is known for having the freshest sushi.  They also are well-known for celebrities dining there.  They are located in a quaint little house on South Lamar.  Explore other dishes by Tyson Cole, though, for he's not known for his sushi!  This coming from a server that's worked there for a while (a friend of mine).

  2. Kenichi is great. It is down town. On 5th I belive.
