Sushi too old?

My father went and got sushi from a very nice sushi resturant and then went and got a movie. This is about 15-20 minutes till it was consumed. Is it possible that I will get sick from it being too old?? I put it in the frige for 5 mins when it got home.

  1. You should be fine since none of the fish/seafood was raw. Just don't do that with nigiri.

  2. You should have no problem with the shrimp tempura roll. And since shrimp doesn't spoil easily, you should be pretty safe with the other roll too.

I always leave sushi that I couldn't finish in my car and eat it later, about an hour at the most. Not if it's hot though cuz that makes the food spoil or if it's been there for hours..

  3. Since everything you got is cooked, it should be fine to eat. Enjoy!

  4. Smell it..if it smells fishy then throw it out, it has been sitting to long before you got it. Drink some water with lemon after you eat it to kill any bad bacteria if it didn't smell strange. Good luck!!

  5. It depends on how old the fish (or other ) was before it was made, if it was kept cold it should be fine.
