Susie Wolff looks forward to run for Williams in Young Driver Test – Formula 1 news
Williams’ development driver Susie Wolff has said that she is positively looking forward to run a Formula 1 car for the first time in the Young Driver Test which is going to be held at Silverstone circuit this week.
Wolff ran a 2011 Williams in Silverstone in the last season. Moreover, she also completed some straight-line tests with the Grove based team. However, this will be her first proper appearance behind the wheel of an F1 car as she had successfully qualified
for a superlicence. Additionally, she will be driving alongside Daniel Juncadella while the race driver, Pastor Maldonado will also take part in the tyre test for one day.
She expressed that she is excitedly eying to take part in the upcoming test and is making the essential preparations to do a good job for her team. Moreover, she said that it is going to quite tough for her to gather the necessary data for the team so as
to make the significant advancements in their car for the season ahead. Nevertheless, she stated that she is feeling confident and will hopefully do well in the test.
“It's a fantastic opportunity for me, so now it is up to me to prepare myself the best that I can for the day,” she said. “It's going to be a big challenge but the most important thing is to do a solid and consistent job and to give good feedback to the
team to be able to prove I am at the level to compete on a day such as this.”
Besides, she insisted that she has done most of her work in the simulator until now and she knows that driving a car on real track will be quite difficult. Nonetheless, she stated that she can improve his knowledge about the car by taking part in the approaching
test.  
“Most of my work is based in the simulator which is why this day is so important for me. It will give me a better understanding of what the car is like on track,” she added.
It will be exciting to see how she drives at Silverstone circuit this week.
