Susiescot up against promising newcomers in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden
Limerick will be hosting the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden on 29th March, 2012. The race will be run over 7 furlongs and 50 yards for €8,280.
Romantic Stroll’s prospects of securing a placed position look bright. She will be competing against Addition Again, Ahaaly, Colla Pier, Fly On High, Ice Ice Baby, Jappeli, Madeira Girl, Milefocus Lady, Misteireach, Owega Dale, Ransomed Rose, Shebella, and
Susiescot.
Romantic Stroll, the daughter of Oratorio, out of mare Home You Stroll, will be making her career debut in this race.
Trained by T. Stack for owner J.Connaughton, the three-year-old filly is expected to perform well. She will be racing today with odds of 4 to 1.
Ransomed Rose will also be starting her racing career today. The daughter of Oasis Dream, out of mare Rapid Ransom whelped on 29th January, 2009.
She is trained by D.K. Weld for owner, Lady O’Reilly, and is bred by the Castlemartin Stud And Skymarc Farm.
She will be racing as a favourite with winning odds of 9 to 4.
Susiescot, daughter of Verglas, out of mare Princess Susie, started her career on 18th September, 2011.
Mounted by L.F. Roche, she landed an impressive finish as a runner-up in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 2YO Fillies Maiden at Fairyhouse.
She missed the victory as she fell a nose behind Ronan’s Bay.
Trained by W. McCreery for owner, Paul Newman, the three-year-old filly raced as a favourite in the Dundalk 3YO Fillies Maiden on 20th January, 2012 at Dundalk.
She entered with odds of 9 to 10 under jockey W.M Lordan.
Under his guidance, she managed to chase the leaders and raced with determination did not increase her speed in the final furlong. She fell 1 ¾ lengths behind runner-up, Merkel.
Today, she will be racing with odds of 5 to 1, aiming for a solid finish against the newcomers.
Ahaaly, also started her career today, has captured some attention from the market.
Trained by Kevin Prendergast for owner Hamdan Al Maktoum, she looks in good form. The daughter of Exceed And Excel, out of mare Alshakr is bred by Shadwell Estate Company Limite.
Susiescot has a definite advantage coming into this race as she has more experience than the other runners. Her performances have been impressive and she may be able to land a victory today.
Race favourite, Ransomed Rose has the market popularity, but with no previous performances, it cannot be said how she will perform today. If she succeeds, she may be looking at a bright future.
