  1. Yeah good call......especially if it costs a goal

  2. i think that umpires are getting worse and worse. they seem to be handing out more free kicks to the home team(no matter who is playing).i think that umpires should be held responsible when they make poor decisions. mind u, if u start penalising umpires, people will loose interest in becoming umpires and then we will not have many people to umpire the game that most Australians love and live by.

  3. Hoo-ray, thank god some one else thinks that. I have been saying this for a least 5yrs now. I even wrote letters 3 times to the AFL and the umpiring board.

Why not? The umpires make wrong decisions and they also think the game is about them, so why not? suspend them.

Why doesn't the AFL listen to the supporters, The umpiring committee should re-access some of it stupid and ridiculous rules and scrap them. And get rid of umpire Goldspink.

P.S did anyone watch the Kangaroo's and Sydney game. This is how bad the umpires are, an umpire gave a 50m penalty because a Kangaroo's player said "That's Bullsh!t".

"HOW SOFT  IS THAT". ITS ALL ABOUT THE FREE KICKS AND THE UMPIRES THINK THEY ARE BIGGER THAN THE GAME ITSELF".

  4. I 100% agree with Big Kev.

  5. I am so glad that someone else agrees with me. lately the umps have been c**p so i think this is a brilliant idea.

They should also have 3rd ump like cricket to overrule bad deicions. oh and get rid of goldspink!!!

  6. yes because it can cost either team the chance to win due to bad decisions being made by the umpires which i have witnessed first hand

  7. There has to be some way of ensuring ''consistency'' !!  As the season rolls on so do the ''inconsistencies''.  I t should be like other sports, less umpires on the ground and use of a third video umpire who is unbias !!!

  8. No umpires have a really hard job... and from where there watching the game from it can be really hard to pick up everything that is played. however if the umpire gets in the way and a player runs into them accidentally the player should not be suspended because the player was just trying tom play the game and the umpire got in the way!

  9. No, but I do think they should have a "3rd umpire" (like in Cricket) so they can back up there decisions.
