My name is ____ and I am writing to appeal my suspension from the college of education. The Spring Semester of 2008 was a very traumatic and overwhelming time in my life. I currently have epilepsy and had been seizure free for one in a half years until the spring of 2008. I had three seizures that semester due to I assume stress and environmental changes. My seizures tend to take a heavy toll on my mind and body. Later on that semester I was diagnosed with human papillomavirus and cervical cancer. This was a shock to me. I had to prepare myself physically and mentally to deal with this disease.

I do realize that I neglected my academic studies and request another chance to improve my grades.

I am currently receiving treatment and have increased my doses of seizure medicine per day to prevent any further seizures.

In addiction I have listed steps that I will take to further my academic success:

1. I will obtain a tutor for my most difficult classes.

2. I will manage my time more wisely.

3. I will devote myself to school 100 percent

4. I will attend my classes regularly and on time

My goal is to become a fist grade teacher. Without the College of education this is not possible.

I am a hardworking and dedicated student who takes my education very seriously. My education is the most important thing in my life.

I am simply requesting another chance so I can fulfill my goals.

Thank you for your time and consideration

  1. Take out the "I assume".  Also, you don't need to make your life an open book for the people reading your letter, there's such a thing as too much detail.  Simply state that you had to deal with traumatizing and life-threatening medical issues and that you can provide a medical note or similar proof from your doctor.

  2. Proof read?  Look, I have an English degree, and I use to teach English.  With that said, I don't work for free, mate. lol

But, you did misspell "first" in "fist grade." Don't say I never did anything for you.

Oh, one more thing.  You need to have someone else write that letter for you.  It does not sound very professional and cordial.

Oh, one last thing.  Put a period after "Thanks for your time and consideration."
