  1. Go to a walk in clinic to get a different answer. Try a few different doctors. She sounds like a bad doctor to me. Anyone that's had the same problem for years with no correction deserves much more attention than you're getting. Its your health, dont settle.

As for foods, you don't want to get fatter especially if you're into sports. Do you weight train at all? Maybe talk to your parents about getting some dumbbells to improve your game (or go to a gym), and just do some weights a couple times a week. Eat lots of healthy foods like lean meats, fruits and veggies, whole grain breads, healthy fats like nuts, olive oil etc. You could also try a mass gainer as a last resort, like from a fitness nutrition store. What kinds of foods do you eat? How many times a day do you eat? Those are important questions to ask.

  2. Tell her you are 13, and to stop treating you like a little 5 year old. Tell her you want to know what's wrong with you, and ask her exactly why she is prohibiting you from gaining weight.

Don't be rude, but be firm. Stand your ground.

  3. Some docs passed school, but only learned how to give over the counter medications and pretend that they know what they are talking about. They are some pretty incompetent doctors. If you don't like one doc, just go to another one.

  4. Tell your parents that you are old enough that you feel like seeing a male doctor.  Use this excuse to get them to help you find a different doctor.  Come to your first appointment with a list of questions and get answers. If you don't like the answers, switch doctors again.

  5. people would die to be as skinny as you just accept it. it doesnt matter till your older and your weight is good for your age

  6. Something in your diet that you have an allergic reaction to could possibly be causing your stomach problems.  Some people are allergic to some pretty basic foods like wheat.  You should also find a new doctor.

  7. I would recommend you change your doctor. Good Luck!!!

  8. switch doctors.

or when your there the next time. tell her exactly what you're telling us.

dont leave without a decent answer.

  9. This sounds like food allergies - they can be very serious. You're absolutely right, you can't be taking alka seltzer for ever. Find another doctor, preferably one who specialises in diet and nutrition.

You are getting tired because your digestion isn't working properly, so your body can't supply the energy you need.

I've suffered badly from this sort of problem for years, as has one of my relations. You'll have to keep on until it's sorted out, and I hope your parents will help. Good luck!
