Suspicious roulette?

Ok so I was playing roulette on African Palace Casino and I noticed something which I think is suspicious, maybe because I lost all my money but here's what I noticed.

I decided to bet on black and stuck with it. The next 10 consecutive spins after resulted in Red winning. Then I started betting on columns. So I placed some money on the 2 column and stuck with it. The next consecutive set of spins resulted in columns 111133133331 winning and then finally 2. later on I bet on column 1 and stuck with that bet .The next set of consecutive spins resulted in columns 322233322 winning and then finally 1. Again bet on 1 results 23222323322. I'm sure you seeing the pattern. This keeps on happening. It may just be me but I think this is obvious cheating. For those who know statistics and gambling well, would love to hear your thoughts

  1. Which casino?

The roullete doesnt have memory, so a lot of strange things happen, but its normal, when you bet al ot of times you will surely see it again and again.

  2. If what you say is true, the odds of you losing that many times are very, very high.

If I understand it, you lost 22 consecutive times, and then finally won once, then lost another 9 times, and then won once, and then lost another 11 times.

This is 42 losses in 44 spins, and most of those spins the odds were only just a little more than 2 to 1 against you.  (And the first 10 spins when you were betting black, the odds were just a shade more than 1 to 1 against you.)

It's impossible to say for sure that you were robbed... maybe you just had some incredible bad luck, but it sure looks like something is fishy.  Again, the chances of you losing that many times is very, very high.  (I originally wrote "astronomical" but that would probably be inaccurate.)

I think the lesson is clear.  I wouldn't play at this online casino anymore.

    Those are my thoughts.

  3. Unfortunately not all online casinos are on the up and up.  It does sound like this wheel was rigged so as not to give you a fair payout.  You'd think these people would be happy to win their house edge of 5.26%, rather that getting greedy like that.  It's a shame because it gives all the online casinos a bad name.

I would go for one of the really well established casinos if you want to play.  Then push your congressman to open up online gambling to American companies.  Let's face it if Harrah's, MGM or the Bellagio opened an online casino, they wouldn't do this c**p, and they would be properly regulated.

  4. One of the big mistakes you made was to "stick with it" which goes against gaming logic of riding a streak.  Another was to keep playing even though you were consistently losing.  Again you went against logic.  Always put money on the streak, not against it.  Good Luck next time though.

  5. roulette doesn't have a memory. I've seen almost a whole board red and the other way around...I've seen 6 0's in a row and the list goes on...sounds like roulette was not your game that day. I deal the game alot and this is one game i wouldn't touch if i was out playing.

I've never heard of African Palace Casino but the places around here are regulated wheels that have to be checked daily for balance etc.

    edit:

online roulette is something i know nothing about...sorry

  6. There is the answer to your problem, if it was a "real" wheel it would have been checked and balanced on a regular basis'.  The odds are already stacked in the house favor so there would be no need to cheat by the casino.  There are not the same regulations in on-line gambling.  You are depending on the outcome of a roll on the computer which could be set-up to give the house a even better advantage on top of the advantage it already has.
