Suspiro a la limeña?

I have been recently to Chile and Peru and I've seen this dessert in both countries. Why? Limeña means it's from Lima? Why have it in Chile? I'm confused!

Suspiro a la limeña (as its name says) is from Lima Peru. In Chile thay have copied the dessert but have not changed the name, they have respected the original name thus telling people it comes from Lima. Did you try it? It's very sweet but yummy. Also in Chie they have added pineapple or coconut to this dessert.
