The fall of two wickets brought Goodwin in the middle, who joined Wells. The pair was in sensational form and took the game away from the visitors. They amassed 304 runs for the third wicket partnership and didn’t play any rash strokes.
The massive stand was finally broken in a very unfortunate way. Wells got run-out after collecting 174 runs. He played brilliantly though, smashing 26 fours and one towering six in his outstanding knock.
Goodwin didn’t miss-out on an opportunity to score a double-ton and finished with an unbeaten 274. He used all his experience to hurt the opposition bowlers and hit 37 boundaries in his marvellous innings.
Yorkshire’s bowlers looked helpless, as they failed to cause any problems for the batsmen. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Steven-Patterson-c2585 took one wicket each in the innings.
In reply to a massive first innings total by the hosts, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yorkshire-c867 failed to perform with the bat and were all-out within 300.
