At the end of the first day’s play in the ongoing County Championship Division One tournament, Somerset trail by 191 runs with nine wickets in hand against Sussex, at County Ground, Hove.
Somerset chose to field first on winning the toss, and the bowlers responded well to the call by annihilating the opposition on a total of 221, well before the end of the day.
