Sustainability likely to claim John Jarvis Novices´ Handicap Chase
Sustainability will be seeking his maiden chase victory in the John Jarvis Novices´ Handicap Chase at Sandown in England on Friday, December 7, 2012. He is a fine performer and should not be taken lightly at all.
The talented runner has not appeared in a lot of races in this format, which might put him under some pressure. However, he has the ability to cope up with such circumstances and will definitely come out strongly at the end of the day.
Moreover, he will enjoy the track conditions at Sandown, which will help him get the attention of the punters. He has normally done well on a wet ground and the soft going will work perfectly in his favour.
Despite that, he will have to fight his way to the top in today’s class-3 encounters, which is going to start at 13:10 GMT. There will be seven other contestants up against him and all of them will be looking forward to giving their best shot.
However, only one of them will walk away with a cash prize of £6,498 in the end. It will not be an easy task to claim the top spot, and the contestants will have to display a solid stamina to last the 2 mile, 4 furlong and 110 yard contest.
According to the bookmakers, Thanks For Coming will be the best choice for the bettors because of his decent track record in chase events. He has never won in this format before, but that does not mean he is not capable of doing so. His performances have
been really impressive and his fans will be backing him up at Sandown.
However, the soft ground will not suit the Nicky Henderson’s trained gelding and he will have to put in some extra effort at the end of the day. He finished as a runner up in his previous two outings and has a chance of breaking the shackles this time around.
Coming back to Sustainability, he has only appeared in one chase race until now, which yielded a pretty good result for him. He ended up in second place after a thrilling battle, and will be looking to take one step forward today.
Aidan Coleman will be the one partnering the Venetia Williams’ trainee in today’s contest. The pair has enjoyed a very good time in the past and should be competitive once again.
