Sustainability to complete hat-trick at Carlisle – Handicap Hurdle Preview
Sustainability is supposed to sustain his winning momentum and complete a hat-trick by finishing first in “Madness In Concert On 7th July Novices’ Handicap Hurdle’ at Carlisle racecourse on Thursday, March 8.
For the title of Class 4 contest, the Venetia Williams-trained gelding is set to run against five competitors including Lexi’s Boy, Maybe I Wont, Cadore, Behindcloseddoors and Raggios Boy.
The £2,599 race of 2m1f distance will commence at 3:45 (GMT). There is likely to be a thrilling competition as each of the six runners possesses enough talent and experience.
Sustainability stands above all due to a couple of consecutive triumphs which the brilliant gelding accomplished during November-December 2011.
The dashing horse’s last success came with a big margin of 7 lengths, perking up his confidence to a great extent.
Owned by The Silver Cod Partnership, the sever-year-old runner started his career in December 2010.
Sustainability is going to run at Carlisle for the very first time and she has also earned for the first time a favourite tag. He will surely unleash plenty of firepower and try his utmost to complete his maiden hat-trick.
The young gelding’s chances to thrive are as high as 90 percent provided he judges the ground condition properly and runs meticulously.
Out of Sustainability’s competitors, Lexi’s Boy and Maybe I Wont are likely to perform confidently in today’s showdown.
Lexi’s Boy boosted up his morale greatly by winning a big race at Ayr on January 17, 2012. Prior to this, Donald McCain’s gelding bagged a decent victory in June 2011.
As a whole, the four-year-old horse has won 5 out of his total 13 starts to date.
Maybe I Wont is the most experienced runner on the card. Out of his total 62 starts, he has won 8 so far. The bay gelding grabbed third spot in his last outing on January 25, 2012. He is also expected to make impact in this competition.
With Lexi’s Boy and Maybe I Wont being in good form, Sustainability will have to struggle hard for the top spot. There is going to be a tough battle at Carlisle. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to all the runners.
