Sutible supplement for wieghts?

i have been doing wieght training alongside excercise to build lean muscle and i am thinking about using supplements to help.

i am thinking about getting the impact whey protein from myprotien.co.uk does any one know if this is good.

or does anyone have any other really good supplements that work

  1. just buy good whey protein and also try buying protein with free bottle because the bottles are really good cuz it has mesh inside.  


  2. 'Reflex' whey protein is a Godsend, I use and have been using it for years. When I first started using I gained a stone (14lbs) in 2 months (of muscle).

    EDIT: RMC is right, the whey protein comes with a shaker, that has a seperater inside it for mixing milkshakes, or flavouring water with it.

  4. Myprotein are actually a very good brand. After all, what's the point in paying for the name? You pay for the results, right? Myprotein products are good value for money, and you can often choose from a number of different flavours. I've used hurricane xs in the past, and found it to be very effective. Make sure that you put in 100% in the gym though, because supplements are the icing on the cake, not a magic cure.

  5. I have been using whey protein for a while now but if you want to get serious muscle mass then you need to consume a h**l a lot of protein every single day and it's very expensive.

    If you weigh 180 pounds and there's say 25g of protein in 1 scoop and you need 2 scoops to make a 500ml bottle then you need 3 shakes a day for 150g of protein and the other 30 you can get by eating meat or fish.

    So 6 scoops of protein every day, your gonna go through the stuff within a few weeks, I paid £40 for a big tub, it was gold optI'mum , im not taking it every day as i've decided I'm going for the more toned up agile look.

    So I can't say if it gives you good muscle mass but I will say it definitely helps in the muscles recovering after a hard workout making it possible to workout hard again the next day.
