Suzann Pettersen to defend her title at Safeway Classic

Safeway Classic is one of the oldest LPGA tournaments. It was started in the 1970’s and is still going strong. It has survived a number of sponsors and is now a well known event that draws huge crowds every year.
The origins of the tournament can be traced to the charity event that used to be held in the Portland area. The event has been true to its roots so far and has now evolved into an important fundraiser for local charities.
