Suzann Pettersen to shoot for ESPN Body Issue
Norwegian Suzann Pettersen might not have grabbed a title at the US Women’s Open 2012 held at Kohler last week, but she has definitely grabbed the media attention after deciding to pose for ESPN Magazine’s the Body Issue.
Pettersen will reportedly strip down for the Body Issue.
The Norwegian star is not the only female golfer to pose for the Body Issue, as Christina Kim, Anna Grzebien, Belen Mozo and Sandra Gal of Germany have also done the same stuff.
Pettersen, who currently ranks sixth in the Women’s World Golf Rankings, has definitely overshadowed everything on the golf course after agreeing to work with the Body Issue.
Analysts said that the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) giant may have dominated the headlines, but she is having a hard time from her rivals in terms of world rankings.
Pettersen was standing strong at the second position in the Women’s World Golf Rankings a few weeks back, but as other players such as Stacy Lewis and Na Yeon Choi have ramped up pressure by improving their positions lately, things seems to be a bit rough for the famed golfer.
However, the professional golfer appears to be enjoying her time and hopes to make the most of the opportunity ESPN magazine has brought her.
Speaking to USA Today, the 31-year-old Norwegian said that she is going to have a great time, as she is not the first female golfer to pose for the Body Issue.
"A lot of the best athletes in the world have done it, and I thought it was great to be asked. I thought about it, being naked and all, but I never really considered not doing it,” she told. "I just had to make sure that I was comfortable in doing it. It's as natural as it gets. It's health at its peak".
She went on to say, “This was a great opportunity for me. If they present the photos in the right way, which I'm sure they will do, there's not going to be anything to be embarrassed about or to criticize”.
