Suzi’s A Class Act expected to win Kevin Hall & Pat Boakes Memorial Handicap
In the line-up of 12 runners for Kevin Hall & Pat Boakes Memorial Handicap, the James Eustace trained grey filly, Suzi’s A Class Act, looks to be the strongest candidate who is keen to add second straight success to her career chart by winning the high-voltage
Class 5 race that will take place at Salisbury racecourse on Thursday, August 16.
A soft ground of 1 mile, 6 furlongs and 21 yards will be the playfield of the four-year-old veteran runner who is supposed to show her guts against 11 worthy competitors for the sake of the prize money worth £2,588.
Debuting on May 27, 2011, the young filly had to wait for at least 13 starts to break her maiden. After a strenuous struggle, the daughter of Act One out of Latour managed to grab a convincing victory in the Banham Poultry Handicap that was held at Yarmouth
on August 8, 2012.
This fresh success has spiked up the filly’s confidence level to such an extent as she can easily make a big impact in any big event.
The East Burrow Farm bred talented runner registered a few outclass performances during the last couple of months as well. After finishing as the runner-up in Caffreys Handicap on June 14, she gained a third in the Poker At bet365.com Handicap on July 11.
It is expected that Suzi’s A Class Act will be able to show a decent run in today’s marathon. The only threat to her can be Madame St Clair who elegantly broke her maiden by winning the Premier Administration Selling Stakes at Lingfield on June 23.
The Roger Curtis trained bay fill went on to finish second in the 12-runner event of the Olly Murs 17.08.2012 Fillies' Handicap, held at Kempton on August 6.
After these two good performances, the filly seems to be in great form that will help her fight hard against Suzi’s A Class Act who needs to run extra-ordinarily well in order to thwart the influence of her worthy rival.
In this scenario, an exciting and rip-roaring clash is expected at Salisbury. It will be a good time for the spectators.
