Hey Everyone,

Im looking to get a 600cc bike, but Im stuck between the GSXR600 and the R6 (both 08 models).

Has anyone ridden either bike and can give me some advice?

What is easier to ride in the rain?

Thanks

  1. R6 mate....all the way.

yam build a better quality bike than the suzi, sorry guys but its the truth...

  2. go for the r6 its definatly the best out of the two and valentino rossi rides it

  3. Personally I don't like the way GSX/R rides. When i twist the throttle I want to feel the engine go. On every GSX/R I've rode (4), all I get is some electric sounding whine. I want to hear a growl not a whine. It probably seems silly reading it here but when i mentioned it to the fellas at the local bike night, they all knew what I meant.

Anyway, I'd go for the Yam.

  4. Easy...Get the R6

  5. I like the R6, it looks nicer =)   but I bought an 08 cbr 1000 instead.. I was about to buy the R6 at first

  6. Well depends on what you are using it for. They are both good bikes on and off the track but suzuki wins a lot of races and also Honda. If you are going to get a 600, you might want to look at the cbr600. Honda’s 600 are the strongest in its class but I would prefer suzuki. You can ride them hard all day long and they will still perform great. I have a 2008 gsxr 750 and I love it. Its almost identical to the gsxr600. I have heard they are kinda the same so comes down to your preference. Which body you like better and the color choices. The gsxr 600 looks better to me compared to the r6 but again, just my opinion. Get what you want! Hope this helps

  7. Both are about the same. It all comes down to looks, color, and feel when you sit on it. And all bikes ride the same in the rain. It just depends on the tires you have and your experience.

  8. totally get the gsxr 600 its sweet bike and wil be a good bike

  9. get the gixer 750 if you can push the extra £800 or get the 600 . much cheaper to repair should you drop it.if you run any bike through the weather protect the electric connection blocks(spray em well with wd40) keeps water out.

  10. If you are using the bike mainly on the road, then I would go for the Suzuki. Its softer suspension set up and better mid-range make it a better road bike.

If you are going to use the bike mainly for track days, then I would definitely go for the R6.

  11. R6
