hi, my marauder gz125 is not starting. Its turning over fine but not starting. I think its a fuel problem but having trouble finding the fuel tube from the carbouretter to relieve any gunge/dirt in case its a blockage. Could you please advise. The spark plugs are fine, battery is fine.

  1. i cant see the fuel lines getting blocked...more likely the internal jets of the carbs areblocked and not the pipes...for future referancea cheep £1 in line fuel filter willhave stoped the muck....remove the carbs, remove the floeat bowl and emove all brass jets and blow out with compressed air...

  2. Hi,

Are the plugs getting wet after the engine is being cranked? If they are, it would suggest there is sufficient fuel coming through.. It would be more likely that you would have power problems while riding.

If they are not wet, you are more than likely correct about it being a fuel issue. Ideally, you should replace the tubing as petrol perishes the rubber anyway, if i were you i would find the diameter of the tubing and order a length of it for use, and for spare.

However, if you are after a short term fix to see if it is them at fault, you could soak them in petrol and get something thinner than the diameter ofthe tubing (allen key? Someting long and thin) to run up and down the tubing. Dry it off and make sure you can see through the tubing clearly.
