  1. The clutch is a wet clutch system, so the engine and trannie use the same oil. The amount of oil is about 2 1/2 quarts, but pay attention after the 2nd quart, you dont want to overfill the engine.

  2. Hi, The clutch is on the left side on a SV1000s V-Twin. Cheers.

  3. It's pretty much always on the left handlebar, if it has a clutch at all.  Mine has the parking brake there.

The clutch housing as a separate entity?  I have no idea, since the clutch is usually lubed by engine oil.  There is neither a filler nor a drain for it alone.

  4. CLUTCH IS LEFT SIDE

  5. The clutch housing is where the oil goes in, but it is not just contained in the clutch housing, as it will go into the crankcases and sump from there - the quantity of oil required should be clearly marked near the filler.  An easy thing to remember with almost all modern Japanese and European bikes (and I mean proper bikes, not scooters) is transmission controls on the left, brakes on the right.
