it sits outside more or less in the open. the battery isn`t flat.

it sounds like it wants to start, the engine stutters a bit, but it just won `t turn the engine enough to actually start.

not in britain in south africa. it`s a little cold, bout british autumn temp. it`s had sun on it since bout 7 (wouldn`t start at 8:30) in the morn, not very warm sun but engine doesn`t feel very cold. could the spark plugs be dirty? should i put a cover over it at night?

  1. Check for:

    Choke is on

If gas smells like eggs, if so drain bad gas and fill with fresh gas.

Check the gas lines are free of holes, leaks, if you lose vacuum gas will not go into carbs.

Check air filter and air ducts for no blockages, also the exhaust end, maybe a bird made a nest in it, lol.

    Good luck.

  2. It sounds like the batt doesnt have enough cold cranking amps to start the bike. It may have enough to run accessories and make it look good but it might noit have enough  once its under a load to start the bike. Have a load test done on the batt and check that it is charging as well.

  3. the bat may not have the power to start it....as well as spinning the saterter it has to have enough power to charge the coils and make it spark...yes keep it coverd,i wolould also charge it over night...
