Svchost.exe problems help?

okay i have two svchost.exe in the processes may i delete one of them to make my computer faster?

am in college and can't work with a slow computer

  1. Yes, you can end the svchost.exe process that is taking the largest amount of memory (SYSTEM process, it is used to display XP style windows and other controls). However, if you end that process, all the windows ( except explorer.exe ) will look like windows 98 controls but it will increase the performance somewhat.

    If you want to adjust more settings, right click on My Computer and then goto its properties, goto ' Advanced ' tab and from their you can adjust or fine tune your computer's performance settings.

    You can also try upgrading your hardware to solve the performance issue.

  3. svchost.exe neednt necessarily slow down if its used by network service or system.. but if the user is you, its a serious virus.. avira antivirus is a good one to try..
