Svchost.exe question?

Question

I know what it is, what it does, and that it runs multiple instances at the same time. But how long will it run? It's been running for hours, sucking up CPU and slowing down my computer. I don't want to manually end it cause that could cause problems.

svchost.exe runs programs and services on your computers and see some svchost.exe process is not mean to your computer infected.

Svchost.exe may be process of program or service that you are still running. (Or It may be Windows compoment too)
