Sven Nys gets through Niels Albert yet again at Koksijde, 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup round 3
Sven Nys of Team Landbouwkrediet-KDL is giving nothing away to his competitors, as he sealed yet another victory at the 2012 UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup round 3.
It was the third successful weekend for the Belgian after his storming performance on November 24th to bag a difficult victory at Koksijde.

French cyclist, Francis Mourey of Team FDJ-Big Mat managed to find podium after he finished further 5 seconds behind Albert during the race.
Bart Aernouts of Team AA Drink Cyclocross, Klaas Vantornout of Team Sunweb-Revor and Rob Peeters of Team Telenet-Fidea occupied the fourth, fifth and sixth positions in the respective order.
Niels was looking good to grab the top podium spot and remained in front for quite some time however; Nys bounced back in the second last lap and build on his lead.
The Belgian was delighted after defeating the 2012 UCI Cyclo-Cross World Champion for the third time this season and was overwhelmed by the victory.
Sven noted, "It was like a dream coming through, perfectly over it, you arrive at the foot with the idea of trying it. Right away I felt ‘I can ride up this thing'. Then you get the adrenaline boost and you don't feel anything. It's one to review several times on TV".
"Last year [worlds in January] it wasn't pleasant to ride here. I wanted to come back and show I can ride through the sand. I think I did that today," Nys concluded.
Niels explained that he is not feeling 100% but is positive to defend his overall lead in the coming events.
"During the world championships my form was at 100 percent, now I was at maybe 95," Albert said.
Without a victory this season, Albert still leads the World Cup standings after the third round with a maximum number of 215 points to his credit.
Sven Nys and Klaas Vantornout hold the second and the third positions with an equal amount 185 points, with Kevin Pauwels (184 points), Bart Aernouts (158 points) and Francis Mourey (148 points) securing the fourth, fifth and sixth positions in the respective order.
