The rest seem to be dead but 1 little chick with feather tufts is still alive. Have put in shoe box with insulation, sitting on hot water bottle. Still breathing (after 2 hours). What should I feed it, or what should I do? I'm in Northern Ireland, anyone know any bird sanctuaries here?

  1. Find a vet and take it there. They might know somewhere where you can take it, or you might be able to leave it with them.

  2. Nothing you can do,  bird sanctuaries will not take it. It is natures way it was meant to be, do not interfere with nature

  3. Make this bird a new nest by using a basket with handle..fill with grass and other natural items for warmth.  Place the chick in the "nest" and tie it up in the tree as close to the original nest location as possible.  As long as the parents can hear the begging calls they will continue to care for it .

  4. first of all have you touched it?? if yes were you wearing gloves?? is a parent still around?? put the boxx under the tree where the nest was and keep an eye on the chick. if you have touched the bird without gloves then im sorry but the parents will not accept it back try and get a vet who can look at it

  5. If i was you i would take her to the nearest vet first and get her checked out. Then maybe take her to the RSPB they look after birds in the UK, or why not keep her until she learns to fly then release her into the wild. You've done a good job with her so far good luck making sure shes alright =)

  6. Squish him and end his misery.

  7. stamp on it.it ant gona survive so do it quick.

  8. go to a vet, he/she will tell you what to do.

  9. Call the rspca,

  10. It maybe an idea to put it sheltered somewhere outside, the parent birds will try and find it if it calls. My mums cat brought home a baby bird the other day, it was OK just abit soggy, she put it in the rabbit pen we have outside and now the parent birds are feeding it again.
