Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers proud of team despite loss to Manchester City
Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has gone on to hail his team’s performance against Manchester City, despite them being taken out by City.
Swansea were looking quite promising early on in the game against City, but following a late flurry of goals in the second half, the newly promoted side went on to suffer a four goals to nil loss at the hands of their opponents.
However, despite that fact, Rodgers has gone on to admit that he was delighted to see his team stick to their passing game and try and keep a hold of the ball for as long as they did. He also admitted that the sky is the limit for his team from here on.
When talking about his team’s performance, Rodgers is quoted to have said: "I was very proud of the club"
"It's a historic night, to demonstrate and show how we play was very good.”
He then went on to admit that the result was a little harsh on his team, considering the spirit that his team showed during the game.

"I thought the result was harsh on our team. Certainly for the first hour we showed great confidence on the ball and looked like we could be a real threat.”

"Our game is to construct from behind – I have big confidence in how we play.”
The player then admitted that his team could have defended a little better for the first three goals that they conceded. However, at the same time, he went on to admit that City played a brilliant game of football and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero in particular really shone
during the game.
He added: "It was a wonderful cameo [from Aguero]. It shows you the level the game was at – they wanted to bring something new to the game.

"He is a world class player and his two goals showed what he is all about.

"He showed desire to get the first goal and the second was a fantastic strike."
Rodgers seems to have the right mentality to help Swansea progress in the Premier League. The team has been building a reputation for themselves with their passing game and should they be able to continue that mentality in the Premier League, they are bound
to give a number of teams problems.
Nonetheless, Rodgers is going to have to try and get his defenders to get their game up, or they might just turn out to be scored on, by every team that they face in the Premier League.
