Premier League since they earned promotion from the Championship.
De Guzman has previously worked under Laudrup at Mallorca and is now looking forward to reuniting with the manager at Liberty Stadium. He admitted the choice to join Swansea City had been a no-brainer since Laudrup was in charge at the club.
The 24-year-old attacking midfielder revealed he was a big fan of the English Premier League and a regular viewer, which made his move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 all the more exciting. According to De Guzman, Swansea City were an ambitious side and had proven themselves
against the likes of Premier League title holders Manchester City last season.
De Guzman said in an interview:
“Once the opportunity came along to join Swansea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup, it was a done deal. I didn't have to think twice about it.
I watched Premier League football every week on the TV last season. I was aware that Swansea are a good footballing side, but they really caught my eye when they beat Manchester City.”
The Dutch midfielder said he preferred playing an attacking game and was hoping to score goals during the process for Swansea City. He felt he would get a better chance at regular football with the English Premier League side, especially under a manager
like Michael Laudrup, who is known to give players a certain amount of freedom.
He revealed:
“I didn't get much game time when the new coach came in. It was a frustrating time for me. I just want to play football on a regular basis again.
I am fortunate that I will be working under a good coach at Swansea who lets you be free and allows you to do what you do best.”
