Swansea City and Chelsea will lock horns this weekend at the Liberty Stadium. Both teams are in good form, especially the Blues, who have only lost once in the league this season.
The loss did come in controversial manner as Chelsea saw two men sent off in the game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
However, Chelsea managed to exact their revenge by kicking United out of the Capital One Cup this week. Swansea also managed a very impressive victory in the competition against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, and will be hoping to take that form in other competitions, especially
the league.
Chelsea have a number of star players, but so do Swansea. Let’s have a look at the players that are expected to stand out in the game this weekend
Juan Mata
The Spanish midfield maestro has arguably been one of the players of the season. Having joined the club from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 last season, Mata has taken the Premier League by storm.
The little Spaniard is http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s top scorer this season, scoring 4 goals and managing 5 assists in only 8 appearances. The player has been the focal point of Chelsea’s attack, despite other big names present in the squad.
The player makes things tick in the middle, and his versatility allows him to play on either flank. Though primarily a left-footed player, Mata is also very effective with his weaker right foot.
Operating in the hole as Chelsea’s primary creative outlet, Mata will be the player to watch out for this weekend. With his quick runs, passing and vision, the player dictates the pace of the game, and is an important asset to this new-look Chelsea side.

The most expensive summer signing this season, the versatile attacking player made the switch for London from former French champions Lille. Hazard had been poached by a number of clubs, but chose the Chelsea, singling out their Champions League win as the
major reason behind his decision (though everyone knows that it’s also the money that lured the player to London).
Hazard took no time in settling in and adapting to the rigours and physical demands of the Premier League. The player’s petite frame makes him a good dribbler and attacker, and Hazard has already shown what he is capable of.
The Belgian has managed 2 goals and 5 assists in 9 appearances, and has proven his worth so far. However, with a long time to go in the league, and the cold, wet and harsh English winters just around the corner, it remains to be seen just how well the player
can perform in those conditions.
Quick, tricky and capable of scoring stunning goals, Hazard is our second player to watch out for in the game.
Michu
The Spanish attacked joined Swansea from Spanish club Rayo Vallecano under new manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Laudrup.
The midfielder was perhaps the surprise signing of the season, and has been nothing short of impressive for the Swans so far.
In over 9 appearances, Michu has managed 6 goals and 1 assist. The player has shown a knack for striding forward and scoring goals that are typical of a strong centre forward.
However, he primarily operates in the central attacking midfield position, but was deployed in the lone striker role last week against Manchester City.
Michu’s physical presence and height make him a very different sort of player from Hazard and Mata. The Spaniard is our third star to watch out for, and is a favourite to feature on the score sheet.
